PRESS: Siemens, HMS Group to supply equipment for Obsky LNG
MOSCOW, Mar 16 (PRIME) -- Siemens and Russian oil and gas pump manufacturer Hydraulic Machines & Systems Group (HMS Group) have secured a contract to supply gas turbines and compressor equipment for independent gas producer Novatek’s Obsky LNG (liquefied natural gas) plant, Kommersant business daily reported citing sources on Monday.
“The contract is worth about 130 million euros, and Novatek will be paying for service maintenance during 20–25 years,” the daily said.
Siemens will supply seven SGT-700 turbines for two stages of the facility, and HMS Group will install 10 low-temperature compressors.
Novatek and Siemens declined to comment, and HMS Group did not answer Kommersant’s request.
The Obsky LNG plant near the port of Sabetta in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District is to be launched in 2022–2023. The facility will comprise two 2.5 million tonne production lines. The Verkhnetiuteiskoye and Zapadno-Seyakhinskoye gas condensate deposits will become its resource base.
